It is hard to believe it has been 9 weeks since my last wedding, thankfully the break ended yesterday with my first wedding of the year, and what an amazing wedding it was at the stunning Ballygally Castle! I had been looking forward to Chris & Aimi’s wedding ever since they booked me! I’ve known Chrissy for quite a few years, through running about together during high-school, so I knew it was going to be a great laugh. To save myself an early start I decided to head to Ballygally on Thursday, staying less than a mile from Ballygally Castle in a great family run hotel called the Halfway House Hotel, what a great wee hotel. Brilliant staff, real tasty food and best of all, great pints of Guinness! The day was started by heading straight to Ballygally Castle to photograph the girls getting ready. It’s safe to say no one was going to be stressing out here, the craic was great and looking out the window we had a bright blue sky! I then made a short drive round the corner to a wee cottage where the lads were getting ready before they joined everyone at the castle. Music during the ceremony was performed by the amazing Catherine Hamilton, what an incredible talent she has. As always the party started with a bang with DJ Paul McArdle of Island Events. This was my first wedding at Ballygally Castle and I really hope I get a few more here, I can’t fault the place, it is in such a stunning location and the staff are brilliant, doing anything they could to help out! It was great to see so many familiar faces from weddings I have photographed over the last few years and to spend the day with lads I went to school with made it a great laugh too. Thank you so much to Chris and Aimi for having me take your photographs, it was a brilliant day and I hope you really enjoyed it! I’d like to wish you many years of happiness together. Here are a few images of what we got up to!
